After going to my Pet Shop several times and coming home with very small amounts of seeds (I was buying from their bulk bins), I decided to put in an order through the store for 3 bags of seeds (2 Basic Finch, and 1 Basic Canary), which is considerably less expensive.
There were some mix ups with the order not going through, and having to still go and buy from the bins, and running out of seeds, etc. Finally I got quite frustrated
, and I spoke with the Head Manager of the Store (the owners son), and he put in a call to the distributer, and assured me that my order would be in on Tuesday last, Wednesday at the latest.So yesterday off I went to the Pet Shop to get my seeds.
Well, everyone looked and searched and looked some more and searched some more.... and well you guessed it, they couldn't find my bags of seed. I was
and ready to 
Marching off to the bins to fill up small plastic bags one more time, I was in an extremely growly mood. On the third plastic bag, the handles ripped off, the flimsy bag came apart, and there were seeds everywhere (in my shoes, on the floor, on the counter) GRRRRRR...... On bag six, I have almost emptied the bins and was tying and marking the bags, slipping and sliding all over the spilled seeds on the flloor, and ready to kill.
Suddenly the young fellow from the back comes running up to me clutching a clipboard in his hands, coming to a sliding stop on the seed covered floor.
"We found your order, we found your order!"
Well hallelujah, and glory be!
My young friend reassured me, that I needn't worry about the spill, and that he would replace the bagged seeds in the bins, and all was well in the world again
. He would bring my order to the check out, and I could grab my seeds whenever I was ready to pay.Walking around the store for another half an hour or so, I finally had everything I needed and headed to the check out.
Well my seeds were definitely there....
. However, instead of 3 bags of "20 lbs each", there they were 3 bags of "20 kg each" ( over 132 lbs of seeds....) 
.So I guess I will have more than enough seeds for a while folks, and my birds won't have to worry about going hungry for a good long time....
That is a lot of seed! I get 75 lb. at a time, so I can visualize about what you got. As long as you can keep it airtight to make sure no bugs/seed moths get in, it should keep.
