How Much strawberry finches go for in the US?

Sorry, I really have no idea.

I know that in Canada they are quite rare, with some people a few years ago paying something like $600 per bird.

The only ad for Strawberries in the US that I could find was this one, which is several years old. They list individual birds at $300 and pairs for $600.

Sally might know more, once she comes back.

Price depends on supply and demand.
When Strawberries were very scarce, they could fetch hundreds of $$$ for a bird of uncertain history.
But when ca 2 years ago a large shipment of imported birds came in from Singapore, many sellers reportedly couldn't sell them even for under $200 a pair.

It's an odd one, isn't it...
They seem to appear then disappear for a prolonged period, then appear again.

The problem with them, is that many people want to buy a singing male in full colour. They don't want the females, and once the males lose their vibrant colour indoors, they seem to lose interest in them.

Late 2014 I bought a pair from an importer (Birds Express) for $65 a piece. Right now AZ Birds in Arizona has them in stock: $100 a piece.
