For a 3rd time I have bred a blue gouldian chick. Well genetically in any case because the first two were silvers. They died while still in the nest. Hopefully this one, (a blue) will make it. In the photo the chicks have a green tinge because of the green polycarb. roofsheets.

My little blue gouldian is still going strong. The weather is still warm, it is about 31 Celsius today.

Yay! Is that pastel male his father? The pastel is gorgeous.

Nope his father is a grey head, white breast, yellow back. Mother is a white head, white breast yellow back.
So genetically a blackhead/yellow head.

He's looking strong and healthy.
The real test will be how he does once Wiinter sets in and the weather cools off.

Can't remember, do you have a warm light set up in your aviary or not (?) Might not be a bad idea.

I am thinking of keeping him indoors during winter.
