post office never delivered

Birds were dropped off yesterday and there is no tracking of them ever being shipped but my postmaster call their postmaster and he said it went off the shelf yesterday.
I am beside myself. My gouldians are missing between here and Florida. I stayed calm I stayed polite but I want to scream. Please pray they will be found or someone will fess up.

Oh no!! I'm hoping they will find their way to you tomorrow. I've had a gouldian shipped to me and he was packed with plenty of water for 48 hours and lots of seed.

Have you informed the person who shipped them that the post office has lost them?

If the postmaster in Florida said they went off their shelf yesterday, then they were indeed sent out.

I'm sure both you and the seller are worried sick.

Following the trail. So an amazing Fed ex guy at the airport remembered the box. They couldn't take it and we are now at fort Lauderdale. Trying to find the right paper at FL airport...

If they are stuck in the same city as the seller, notify the seller so he can get the birds the attention they need.

Surely the seller is working on this problem as well, yes?

Thank goodness the FedEx gentleman remembered the box!

I had a gouldian shipped USPS and not only did it arrive on time and safely, but my postman brought it to my door so excited to see what it was, I let him in the house so he could see the gouldian released into the cage. The look on his face was like a little kid.
I love my post office.

I had chicks delivered and the box blew across my yard, and was not discovered for 12 hours, when my dad came home from work and heard peeping. Thankfully there were only 2 deaths out of 26 chicks.

I don't understand why they don't only deliver them into a person's hands, like registered mail (?)

I haven't had many birds sent to me USPS, but I do get regular shipments of mini mealworms or phoenix worms. The packages always have my phone number on them, and my local post office calls me so I can go pick them up right away, rather than let them ride around all day on the truck.

I did ship birds one time USPS, and they didn't leave the main holding station for my area for over a day, so they weren't tracking. It took a P.O. supervisor to track them down. They arrived late, but were fine. It is a nerve-wracking experience!

Sorry to here about this,

This is one of the very reasons why I'd never ever have birds brought to me by courier or shipments

Maybe a long way to travel but I'd much rather take a long journey and pick up me birds direct, that way there's no problems,
