Do finches like snow

So it’s snowed today meaning that the weather is coming and am just wondering if the finches like the snow or not as it cant really be bad for them as it’s just water when it melt so has a one ever give them some or is this a no no haha

I have my plastic covers over aviary anyway so no snow can get in if it is bad

When snow gets into the outdoor aviary my finch love to play in it, especially the owl finch.

Oh Fraz you sure have made my day,

"" Has anyone ever given there birds snow "".......Fraza no one specifically gives there birds snow,

birds are not exactly gonna wanna eat it or play in it but if snow is in the avaires then most birds that are used to being out in cold conditions should under normal circumstances be ok with this

I don't think that the snow by itself should be a problem, unless your aviary is buried under it.

It's the cold that can present a problem. I would leave access to their warm area open to them at all times, so that they can go in and warm up when they get too cold.

NOW GET OUT THERE AND BUILD A SNOW MAN FRASER!!!!

I have given my indoor birds a plant saucer with snow in it before, and the parakeets slid around in it and took a bath in it!

With the light fluffy snow my owls take a "snow bath" just like they would take a dust bath.

Sheather debbie276 lovezebs yep use all know me to well tommorow if it snows again you will see plenty of pictures of my finches hopefully taking snow baths as use say haha I can’t wait
