Hi everyone so today I went to see my grandma and one of her little society’s has sore feet looks like he’s twisted his nails inside the woven nest so I’ve took it out and got them a different type, however the foot has now gone swollen and the back nail has gone forward here’s a pic

Vets is not an easy option :( so what sort of nutrients will help

I'm afraid nutrients will not help that. Poor little guy.

Finch naiks need to be clipped on a regular basis!

Toes may be broken, foot might be infected by looks of it.

You say Vet is not an ootion(?)

Do you have hydrogen peroxide handy?

I'm glad you spotted this when you did!

Does the foot feel hotter than the other one when you touch it?

Hi basically what it is my great grandma owns this finch and she’s 94 and she’s very protective over them and treats them like children and she won’t let me take them to the vet because she said she will never get it back (basically it will die) and I can’t hold them because she thinks I’m hurting them so basically I’ve been reading online and it says just leave it to rest and it should get better it’s self is this right ?

And his I took this ohtoto the time I uploaded

Hi Fraser... what does that say???

Regarding the finch:

If the foot/leg is infected, this little boy will die.... and he must be in a lot of pain.

Hi he’s much better today he’s can now stand on his feet and dangle from the bars with no problem so it seems to be going well and one of the feet has lost the swelling

However I noticed he has a metal ring saying EOA then a sideswords 8 pattern

Ok it seems that, if the swelling has disappeared, the toe my have been strangulated by having a string wrapped around it, but just in case, watch the bird for further signs of pain.
