The owner told me that he had over 60 people contact him about Koko, but decided on me...

Seems he has been hand tame for a very long time, so it may stay with him even if he gets a friend. But we both know it can go either way.

I'm super surprised he doesn't fly off and around the room.. He just sits there all comfy and content.

If I pull Hammy out of the flight she panics, takes off like a jet and has hit the wall. She loves getting on my hands, but in the safety of the flight.

This little guy is quite amazing.

He's a little doll, all calm and happy to sit and look around as the world goes by.

That's great. He sounds adorable. I'm not all that interested in having zebras, but he looked great, was free, and came with a cage so I thought I'd ask.

A guy I picked up some birds from a while ago had a cage with a few zebra finches left open for them to roam freely. Sounds like they can be very calm birds.

What a cutie! One of our former members, MLaRue, had a tame Zebra finch. What fun, to have one that responds to his name!

Calm, is not really a word I would use to describe most Zebras... but I suppose there are exceptions to the rule

Although for my benefit it would be fun to keep him alone and so tame, it's really not fair to him in my opinion.

I think I will set him up with one of my little girls from this Summer, and see what happens . He deserves a chance to have companionship of his own kind, and the opportunity to be a real Zebra .

lovezebs could you not try to take a little girl one so she’s by herself and try to half tame her then pair them up because I agree they shouldn’t be alone but also think it’s a great thing that he’s tame

That's a good idea Fraser, however by the time I try to tame her, I'm afraid little Koko will have gone over to the 'dark side', if he spends too much time with the rest of the crew. Already yesterday, he was begining to act a bit skittish .
