Unfortunately I cannot keep the doves and all the society’s so I’m going to have to work out who I’m keeping but I’m definetly keeping spice finches,stars, some society’s and the amazing JAVAS

I love the Java’s

Also they are a breeding pair and albinfios or something like that I know nothing he said they are a nice java colour and the two chicks are thers they a three months old



The guy I bought them off is quite old called bill and he started out in 1960s and he gave me all these birds for only 40 pounds that’s 4 society’s, 2 spice finches, 4 javas ,two stars, two diamond doves because he was so happy that at my age I was interested in birds he also got a little upset and asked me to come back to him regularly so he can hear how I’m doing, I feel bad that he has to give up because of his house issue

And he’s so experienced u learnt so much

I would visit him regularly Frazer. You could use his wisdom, and I am sure he could use the companionship and a chance to share all his amazing bird stories.

The Stars look nice and at least you've got a pair, I wouldn't put the Stars out into yer avairy until Spring and once there acclimatised they breed fairly easily

I agree with Babs, that you should definitely keep in touch with the old chap. He'll be lonesome without his birds, and you can cheer him up with pictures and bird talk, which I'm sure he'll appreciate over a cup of tea .

lovezebs Babs hi I’ve spoke to him recently and he said he’s now going to make an aviary in his new house he’s moving to the size of the full garden, yep he’s going big !

And my dad is going to drop him all the wood off for him to make it as he gets it free from his work

He was telling me he once had an aviary the size of two gardens (like two average ones ) and had birds worth of loads and loads of money and when he give some ring necks to his mate to build an aviary in Stockport town center some kids cut a hole in the centre aviary and they became wild and are now too many in London and are leagised to kill them

Anyway I’m happy and I’ll post some better pictures later

Babs hi Babs i have to give some society’s back because I have way way to many females I only have one male now as the other male died during letting the doves out as they flew into him

Also the doves are to large as my aviary is quite narrow

Very nice of your Dad to offer him wood for his new aviary. Sounds like it's going to be quite large. If he lives near by, you can offer him a hand with the building, and learn, learn, learn....
