So that daddy java has been sleeping out the nest and only incubation eggs for a while throughout day and here’s why because he’s getting snuggled up with 7 society’s

FinchLady same and this Java’s so passive I caught my star finch bullying him before he’s got a big beak aswell but doesn’t use it haha

I can’t belive he’s in the bed with them haha

Birds sure are odd, aren't they? Once my pair of Java finches got in a nest box and sat on top of my two gouldians... That was interesting.

It’s a sorta good thing tho I’d rather have that than agreessive birds

Watch the closeness, javas may hybridize with other species... societies will as well. both species can be pushy and run other birds off nests. Zebras also.

cindy yeh he’s back in his nest now I think the egg might have hatched it’s was due yesterday and the zebras and society’s get along okay now when I had 3 pairs of zebras they would fight but they are okay now
