Isn't that just like a Society!! I'm surprised the Java let him in the nest with her. Glad you found him!

I’m glad you found him!

Sadly my zebra finch escaped this morning... I looked everywhere for him but he was just gone.. his mate was still in there flying around tho. And then I found the hole where he got out. I can’t believe I didn’t see it! At least he’s free now... it’s all he’s ever wanted. Fly free little birdie...

I don’t think there would be much point putting seeds out for him as he’s probably long gone and if I put seed out it will attract the wild birds.... and we have a cat....

Cloud is grey and white ( a normal pied) And he has more white than gray on him. He’s very smart tho and rather fearless. I think out of all my birds he probably has the best chance of survival in the wild. I hope I can see him flying around in the wild sometime although I doubt I’ll ever see him again. :(

The reason cloud escaped is because it was in my third aviairy which is only just finished and that’s why there was a hole which I didn’t see.... At least it’s covered up now so I won’t loose any more birds.

I wish... but then the cat might get him so might be best he stays away. He didn’t really have any mate he loved in there anymore so I imagine he probably won’t come back. The hole he escaped from was the kind of hole where you’d have to actually be looking for way out to find it. My other finch was even still in there flying around!

Flight Feathers he could even be in your garden somewhere if you have plants or trees in there think positive anyway just because it’s not likely he will survive doesn’t mean he won’t he could do fine

Yeah I think he will do alright in the wild because he is very smart! He’s escaped from a breeding cage before by snapping open the peg and the shoving open a wire door! And not even my budgies could get out of this breeding cage! Don’t ask me how Cloud did it. And I bet cloud has been scheming about this escape for months now lol.

We do have trees in our back yard but not very many so I probably would have seen cloud by now if he were here.
