Hey guys it's me Nick again. Sorry I haven't been on in a while or posted anything in a while. I meant to make this posting a couple of days ago but haven't had the time or heart to. As many of you know I went on a cruise with my grandparents and after that we went up to their house in South Carolina. Well two days ago when I was talking to my parents they gave me an update on how my birds are doing. It turns out that I now have 6 finches instead of seven. You can probably guess what happened...
My parents told me that they found Pearl ( y'all remember him don't you?) in the food dish of the cage he was in, dead. They believe he somehow broke his neck and unfortunately died. He was my favorite Finch just because of his personality and the mutation he was. When I get back to Florida I might go online and order 2 Florida Silver mutations from online (a male and female) and breed them. I am just so depressed about Pearl dying. Y'all got anything to say?

Ah, so sorry Nick. Always sad when we lose any bird but I know Pearl was special to you. These things do happen so don't give up. Hope you are able to breed some beautiful Florida Silvers in the future- very pretty birds.

I'm so sorry for you! I lost my favourite canary just a few weeks ago

a pariain frill (they are really hard to come by where I live) and I had started looking for a mate to him. Now I don't know if a want any more of them right now (have 5 other canaries left that all are rescues).

Hope you find the once you want and get some pretty babies from them!

Oh no sorry for u it’s so sad when one of your favourites die and because they are so small they are delecate but atleast he had a good life

Don’t blame urself for it because sometimes it just happens

FinchLover&Breeder So sorry you lost Pearl, Nick. It is never easy to lose any of our pets, but there are always those special ones that are a bit harder to lose. Often, we have no idea what happened, it just is the down side of having pets. Hope you get some Florida Silvers to breed.

@Maleficum Sorry to hear about your canary. It always seems like it is the ones that are hardest to find--so frustrating.
