Yes, I really liked him..... and it took a lot of effort to catch the little bug (he's fast).

Thanks.

She's not silver, she's sort of a creamy shade, that looks different depending on the lighting.

lovezebs - my canary females r supposed to be Spanish Tribrabo (sp?) Don't know if that makes a diference or not.

They can't stand each other
nor the society finches either. The all yellow becomes hostile if a society male tries to sing.

I've put them in a new double flight and today I gave them plants and tassels and mirrors. Not as bad but sadly not a solution to the ongoing hostility. Will be adding some more tomorrow but don't think it will solve their excessive hostility.

I had read online and thought society, canary and gouldian were all supposed to be passive and compatible but certainly hasn't been the case with mine.

Can you possibly house them seperately?

lovezebs - unfortunately my apartment space is taken up with the 2 double flight cages. I had only planned on 1 flight cage, the 2nd is already a bit crowded.
The society were being too hostile to my gouldian. They r a pretty tough bunch some like to knock others off perches. They did that too to my adult male gouldian and they had confined the young gouldians to one corner of the cage.
I guess it's bad luck that I didn't get a passive group of birds.

I read a couple things online that said 2 females will squabble, more will get along better.
I'm tempted to try but am worried thing would only get worse, since the problem with mine seems to be their desire to have their own space by themselves.
My hope was a double flight with a small variety of compatible birds together.

Your birds look totally beautiful and happy.

Can you divide one of the flights in half, placing one female on each side with another species?

lovezebs - thank you
I divided the cage and much less fighting.
Also has helped greatly with the society finches too

The toys, plants and mirrors has helped distract everyone.
The yellow canary especially loves mirrors.

Surprising how much better everyone getting along now that 5 birds per side.
