Two Bechino's and a bird that looks like either a cherryfinch or a bechino / cherryfinch hybrid fledged today out od a bechino nest. Bechino's are also called owlfinches or double-bar finches.

I'm curious to see what this mystery baby turns out to be.

I am quite sure that it is just a cherryfinch egg laid in the bechino nest. My friends at the club and on the whatsapp groups think that it is a hybrid. Only time will tell.

I'm not at all familiar with Cherry Finches, (have never actually seen one ). Do they look like that when they're babies?

They are also called plumheads.

So now you have to wait with this mystery youngster that you mentioned above, to see what he ends up looking like once he matures
