The zebra finch babies are out of the nest :D
Grey chick is camera shy so the best I could get was a tail view .
Pied chick was more cooperative :)

Yep , they sure are cute exploring "outside the nest" :D
Also clumsy , trying to get control of those wings and fly the direction they really wanted to . So much effort !!!
Silly things :D

No kidding! I laugh at my gould chicks (and I'm sure they don't appreciate it, but tough). Rather than try to land on a perch, they aim for each other or their parents - a birdie back is a much bigger target than a little skinny perch!

I know exactly what you're talking about. I always had to smile at their flying attempts and laugh at their comical landings. The parents had to put up with a lot those first few weeks out of the nest.

Cute babies!

I totally know what you all mean about the landings it is too cute. My finches all do the same thing, and the kids ask me why they do it.
