Oregon (Springfield Area) - Looking for female Zebra Finch!

My older zebra passed away about a week ago, and I need to find a new companion for my younger one.

If anyone has a female zebra finch, preferably 1-3 years old, let me know!

You could go to pet stores that sell Zebra Finches, but usually those ones are always sick or get sick to fast and easily. The best way to make sure your getting a healthy Zebra Finch would be from a trusted breeder/friend. If you do not wish to go pick the finches up, you would need someone who will ship them to you. This site I am going to post below sells many different types of finches, including Zebra Finches. They do shipping as well, so that should be helpful if you do not wish to go pick them up.

Check www.petfinder.com for finches in your area. Some shelters take in birds, and you can almost always find Zebras available for adoption at them. Be aware that it is possible they have a clutch of brothers/sisters, so you wouldn't want to breed them.

You can also check craigslist. In my area, there are almost always ads for Zebra finches.

A nice breeder just posted an ad on Craigslist yesterday - talk about lucky! (The most recent finch ad before that was over a month old.) Just picked up a darling black-cheeked female zebra.
