3) Whether you bought from a breeder, broker or store. No names are necessary.
Prices above mentioned remain almost same at open bird market, pet shops and direct purchase from breeder, in all means we have to do a little bargaining.


4) Price paid
Paid different price for the same bird in different seasons, therefore cannot states particular price for any bird mentioned above.

5) Any other info you think might be helpful
Always do bargaining when you go to open market and in shops they do a little bargain comparatively to open market, therefore my first preference will always be open market with vast verity of birds.

To the best of my remembrance: At the LaPlace, LA. bird fair Goulds were $45-$120.00 ea. Yellow-wing Pytillas $130.00 pr. Red-cheek Cordon Blues $85.00 pr. Stars $45 ea.
Crinsom Seed-crackers $360.00 pr. Melbas $180.00 pr. Orange Cheek Waxbills $45.00 pr. Blue-cap Cordon Blue $85.00 pr. Aurora $120.00 pr. Grey Singers $75.00 pr. Green=back Twinspot $180.00 pr. Bronze-wing Mannikins $40.00 pr. Senagal Fires $95.00 pr. Blue Billed Fires $140.00 pr.
Note: This was the first bird fair I did not see any Shaft-tails. I wanted to buy some to introduce new blood to my stock.

i can't believe, that BC and strawberries are so cheap. in my country and in Hungary they are most expensive. why this is happening ](*,)

For the Strawberries, they are native to that area (Pakistan, India), and it is legal to keep them there, so they are very inexpensive. For you in Europe, and for us in the U.S. (and Canada), Asian imports have stopped, so we can only hope to find some.

You will notice that the prices on Australian species (Stars, Goulds, Shaft-tails) are quite a bit higher than the others--that is because Australia has banned exports of wild-caughts of these species.

I purchased a pair of gold-breasted waxbills from a local store here for $65 (price for the pair). I've never seen them for sale anywhere else in the area, so I have no way to compare prices on them (unless I look at online prices). It didn't seem like a bad deal though.

Thats about what they go for around hear,I paid 60 for a pair ,had chicks once but they tossed them :(

I got my Goldbreasts for $60 a pair also, domestic bred not wild caught.

I got a Pair of Owl Finches for 85 euro in my local petshop.

Which is about 108 dollars

2) Type of finch: Gouldians (There were lots of others, but I did not think to ask prices, I was only interested in the Goulds lol.)

3) This was at a somewhat small, but growing annual bird show.

4) Price paid: Normal - $40-45 (depending on breeder)
Yellow back - $50-65 (depending on breeder)
Blue back- $60-100 (depending which breeder)
Pestles - $40-45 (only 1 breeder had and they were with the greens)

I've paid $20 for two CFW males in a pet shop and $10 for a Normal female at a flea market and bought an Orange Weaver male which I paid $25 for a total of $55. The I found a local breeder that sold me 5 for $20. The total price for all of these birds is $75 in all
CFW Males: Malfurion and Illidan (Illidan is mate of Sylvanas)
Normal Female: Sylvanas (She is the mate of Illidan)
Penguin Female: Tyrande
Pied Males: Thrall, Arthas and Cairne
Pied Female: Elune
Orange Weaver Male: Vol'jin

saw some parrot finches for $150 for a pair since he said he had too many
4 adult goulds, 4 baby goulds, 2 fires, 2 cordons, 2 zebras, 2 goldbreasts, 2 mannikins, 2 javas
