Re: Wanting to rescue in Pennsylvania
Hi. I'm hoping you are still interested. In April I purchased 2 baby finches (one very young male and one female slightly older). The male didn't have his cheek color yet, so the sex was not obvious. I now have a nest of babies. I don't know how many because I don't want to disturb them. I need to find a home for all of them. The male is a typically marked zebra and the female is a pretty pied. I live in southern Pike County. Please let me know if you are still interested.
Thanks!
Sandy

Hi Justin,
I have 2 posted under gallery. They aren't very good. Please let me know if you are interested. They are ready to go! As a matter of fact, Mama laid more eggs, which I removed.

Wow, I wish you were closer! I have lots of babies to find homes for in about 3 months. I'll wait until they're weaned. My children go to NJ to visit their father, so maybe they could take some to you over the holidays.

Hi Justin,
I have a pair of Orange breasted waxbill that I'd like to find a good home for. They're a sweet active pair, but I guess I'm just not as interested in having finches as I thought. I live in Schuylkill County Pa.

Hi Justin,
I'd have to guess Lansdale is just under a two hour drive from me. Maybe 75 to 80 miles.

Re: Wanting to rescue in Pennsylvania
Hello again Justin,
Just inquiring if you were considering my OBW pair or not ? I know you have an avairy, but would, of couse, give you their cage (a large Vision cage), and an array of assessories and food to make the transition easier for them. I also have 5 other cages of various sizes you could have if you would want them. Meeting you part way is also possible.
Let me know.

Justino222 I'm not sure how close any of these are to you. I believe you are in Pennsylvania. I will post a link. http://www.hoobly.com/UqEHw/english-zebra-mutation.htm There are none on this next site now but sometimes they have them so keep checking. http://www.birdsnow.com/zebrafinchpennsylvania.htm This next one also is a hit or miss. Right now someone is posting they want finches. You just have to keep checking. http://www.usfreeads.com/_pets-and-anim ... /finch.asp I hope you find what you're looking for.

Re: Wanting to rescue in Pennsylvania
You're welcome! Craigslist sometimes has birds. Don't just go into the pet section. Put the bird...be it finch, or whatever you're looking for into the search box, and then bring the drop box down to "All for sale/Wanted" so it virtually searches all of craigslist. Sometimes people will actually put a pet into general, or another category. This way everything is covered. You can also go to petfinder.com Then if all else fails...Google "finches for sale/free" in your area. I've done it when I lived in Maryland and got them that way. I got my 10 year old finches from there by doing that. Good luck!
