Yes, I'm just waiting for her to get back to me. Last email was her saying the male canary is not longer available but she has eggs hopefully hatching the 13th. If all goes well, they will be ready in 6 weeks or so if I was interested. I wrote to her...really want a male, asked for her address explaining how I was really far but 4 times yearly go her direction...or my husband does, to purchase bulk food (because there is no "real" food in our area). I will do that once I hear back. It's hard to tell on those craigslist maps by that red symbol exactly where something is. It wasn't very specific with the address...just looked FAR!

Thanks! Yes I do live out there. If it weren't for our garden, and canning...and food we raise, etc.. oh and mail order, we'd starve! But it is beautiful! I'm just not used to it after growing up in NJ/NY, Mass. Maryland, etc. then no man's land. Less than 300 people live in my town.

Yes, that I do not miss...the crime rate and the sirens. I actually had a 13 year old shot and killed on our front step in Baltimore. I love the beauty, the peace and quiet, but I do wish there was a larger grocery store than a glorified 7-11 or Rutter's Farm Store. I just would like a larger variety of foods. The only clothes store...at all, is a Walmart and believe me when I tell you they are 10 years behind in style compared to Baltimore. It's so funny! There are NO restaurants...like Chili's, Five Guys, Outback, Chick Fil a. Just a Mc donalds 15 miles away. YUK! It's kinda like living on another planet. But it's beautiful!

I hear ya! I said I'd never move here. Oh well, life has a way of changing some times. I too like people around (and all that goes with it)....haha, that aren't just relatives!
