LF: Crested & Frilled Male Society Finch

Post by Ginene » Fri Aug 09, 2013 5:50 pm

I am looking for a young, Crested & Frilled Male Society Finch. I live in NYC, but I am willing to drive or pay the shipping fee. I would also like a young, unrelated cream or fawn female society finch. Breeders only...No brokers please. Thank you.

What are the chances that there will be a frilled @ the mart? I have my heart set on getting a male again. But if not, I will definitely get a crested...

Band your babies so you don't get them confused with mom & dad. Then when you figure out the sex of each baby you can band them pink or blue. :)

Ginene I think its a little late to band them, they are already +/- 20 days old ----- and Im deathly scared that I will break their legs!

my fawns is easy, Roseanne has a lot of marbling on her face the baby doesnt.
the choco babies one has (from what I can peak a boo at) a full choco wing the other is half white. they are easy to tell, just got to remember what Rocky looks like...

Anyway I am not going to be breeding these guys anyway unless I get a totally different one - aka CREAM :D

I bet you can do it yourself! They come with a tool that holds the band open for you while you put the birds leg in. Then you slide the tool out and the band is on...there's probably "how to" videos on line.
