Looking for female society Finch

Post by Angela&Shalamar » Wed Aug 21, 2013 10:05 pm

Am seeking a female society finch to keep my current lone female company. I'm not yet sure which if any of her 4 fledgeling are female and since they were being plucked by the female zebra finch I moved them with the males into their own cage. I ended up moving her into a cage with the fledgling zebras that aren't bothering her but she seems so lonely. I'm in Baltimore MD and will happily travel a bit to find a female.

Why not put one the fledglings with the hen and just listen for singing, so you make sure there is no incest. Also, if there isn't a nest, you could do that until you learn the sex of the fledges.
