SW FL - Bird Order Halvsies, Anyone?

Post by MiaCarter » Sun Jul 27, 2014 6:57 am

Hey all!

I've been dying to get a pair of Lavenders, perhaps a pair of European Goldfinches.
I can't find any locally, but I see they're available via Paradise Earth.

Paradise Earth has a $250 minimum order, though. (The Lavendars are only $55/each).
And there's a $120 shipping fee.

So I thought I'd put it out there: Is there any other SW Florida native who'd like to go in on an order with me?

We could split the shipping fee 50-50 (or however is fair).

I'm in Cape Coral; I imagine they'd come into the Ft. Myers airport.
We could meet up at the airport and separate them out my van. (Good fun, I'm sure)
Or one of us could pick up at the airport and we could arrange to meet after the fact.

You can see their finch selection here:

If anyone is interested, PM me and let me know!

One of the vendors at the Ammerman's show had lavenders in good number. I took a break from my table and took a walk back to where they were located. They will likely be at the Orlando show. The vendor is Palenzuela Feed And Pet Store

The Feathered Wagon will be there. They usually have quite the stunning collection there. :-)
