There were two import shipments last fall, and so many places got Strawberries. Some of them even showed up in pet shops! The price started out high, but has been dropping. David Calvin with Bird Product has them at $100 each, Frank Tromp in CA has them for $90 each. I don't know of any place in NC or any breeder near there that got them, but that doesn't mean they aren't available in your area, I just haven't heard about it. There are three breeders right here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who got them and have bred them.
3 Purple Grenadiers, 1 Goldbreast + 1 cat.

I had a clutch of four, 3 males/1 female and will be rehoming some of them. They will be 3 months old Sept 1 and were closed banded by Sally herself! As Sally said, there are other breeders here in DFW area. They would have to be shipped from Texas though. United has a flat $75 fee (plus taxes and cost of the crate) to ship birds if you're interested.
