Re: Expereiced w Reputable Sellers?
I can comment on a few of these:
myredcanary.com is the website of John and Dian Clark. They are local to me in the Dallas TX area. Highly recommend them for canary purchases, they are honest and reputable, have show quality birds.
birdproduct.com is the website of Paradise Earth, David Calvin. I have purchased birds from David and can vouch for the health and quality of the birds I have purchased. He has a huge selection.
mdexoticbirds.net is the website of Murad, a wholesaler I visited back in 2007, so quite a few years ago. That was at the time of the lifting of the ban on shipments from Africa, so imports were plentiful. Murad had so many birds at that time that I could not believe it. I got my very first Senegal Fire finches from him, plus some Goldbreasts. I have not purchased from him since, and I have never had birds shipped from him.

I'm trying to limit the risk from ordering online. Firstly, I'm more worried the birds could die in transit and secondly, I have to rely on the honesty of the vendor which is hard to come by nowadays. I had a couple local breeders sell me bad birds on purpose just so they could get a problematic bird off their hands.
One breeder sold me a mite infested canary hen with lost voice, but treated with herbal medicine and ivermectin.
No one wants to have to spend money twice on a bird. Hopefully, if my intentions were pure, my reward is with God for helping save her health.
Thanks
