Several Species for Sale...

Alright everyone, I'm trying to thin some birds out to make more room for birds I need to set up for breeding. I may have the majority of the Zebras and Societies sold, but in case that falls through I'll list them here as well.

Gouldians - All of these birds are visually Green-backed and Purple-chested. I know some of the birds are split to Blue. There is a chance some of the others could be split to either Blue or Yellow. I also have a BH PB sfGB. Head colors seem to all be molting into Black or Red. (Their little heads have taken forever.) But their could be a surprise YH in the bunch as I've gotten them before. Also I can make unrelated pairs.

Green: $55 each
Green/Blue: $75 each
Single Factor Green: $70 (as he's split to yellow)

Shaft-tails - These birds are all visually normal but split to Isabelle. They are very nice strong birds that have been in a large flight since they fledged. Very striking. These are all clutch mates so you'd need unrelated birds to pair them if you wanted to breed them.

Normal/Isabelle Shaft-tails: $45

Zebras - These birds are mostly Normal Greys although their are some Pieds. Most of these birds were bred in a colony setting (unfortunately) so could be split to CFW, Fawn, OB, BC, or Florida Silver.

Zebras (all mutations): $12

Society Finches - I've got a bunch of mutations and can make unrelated pairs. Most of the birds are Self-colored although there are some Pied birds. I also have Crested available and these birds have thrown Frills. Mutations include: Chocolate, Black Grey, Grey, Grey Pearl, Chestnut Grey, Red-eyed White (dilute), and Chocolate and Fawn Pied. The Crested birds are all Pied or REW.

Pieds: $10
Selfs: $15
Crested: $20

I'm located in Commerce, Texas and would prefer pick up. I do work in Greenville off of I-30 and would be willing to meet there or possibly Rockwall. I do drive to Tyler almost each week and could bring birds with me then as well.

If you're interested in any of these birds please let me know. For the members in the DFW area I might be able to meet you there as well.

I'd buy some in a heart beat if you ever decide to offer shipping--Commerce is about 12hrs from me, so it's a little far to drive.

I might consider shipping but it's so cold right now. And I'd need to check with Sally on the whole process as I've never done it with little birds on an airline.

It's tricky this time of year, as there is so much bad weather around. You have to really watch the forecasts and catch a time where it is basically good all over the country. Even when it is good here and in Arizona, bad weather on the East Coast can affect flights in this area. Just takes a little more planning.

Thanks Sally! I've never done it before. I'm not even sure where to get shipping boxes from anymore and how the whole procedure with the little birds goes.

With my poultry they all went through USPS so going through the airlines is a bit different. I'm not even sure what the closest airport is if it's DFW or if there are any commercial flights in Greenville that I could ship from...

Too bad you're so so far away. I could sure use a couple of Shaft Tail gals for my two boys. :-( Sigh~~~

I still have all these birds available. There are some gorgeous Societies. I'll see if I can't get some pictures today to add on here.

@ApricotMuffins - Let me do some research on the nearest airport I could ship from and I'll get back to you. :) What species were you interested in?

And lovezebs, I'd love to let you have two hens.

@KarenB , are you still looking for Societies? I have a friend that breeds that might be going down to Houston in the next few weeks. I could send a pair with her for you. ;)

I don't understand why sometimes those tags work and other times they don't. Do you know Sally?

I have a box of shipping boxes that I haven't used. If want to buy them, I'll give you a deal on the box.

Oooo... Why thank you Deborah, finchmix22. I might just take you up on that offer. I'll PM you a bit later once I figure out if I need to drive all the way into Dallas or if I can send them from the Greenville Airport.

You're thinking about shipping? What great news! If you have any, I'd love to see some pictures of your self chocolates, black grays, and gray pearls (looking for pairs). I'm also looking for a single chocolate pied hen.

No, I have no idea why that happens. It is certainly frustrating.

Colt, Hey, I see you've been trying to tag me, and I just saw this thread. If there is someone coming into Houston and can bring me a chestnut-grey and maybe a grey-pearl, I might want to do that. Do you have any photos of these guys?

If you have a friend coming to the Houston area and can bring some societies (maybe a few Goulds?) with her, I would definitely be interested! I know others are interested too, so just put me in line behind them :D
