I would have made an overnight trip to NJ to scoop the lot!

My boyfriend of 15 years and I are splitting, a long time of abuse I just can't hide or emotionally handle anymore has come to a head. The location I am moving to is with another family, they said i " could" bring them if i " had" to, but also have a hunting dog that may have a conflict with them and that could turn out to be a mess. So as much as i LOVE them and enjoy watching them, they really are my serenity and peacein my own world in which I " try" to live, it may be best they find a home. Too much is going on, my son who is 18 going on 19, is upside down, although this man we have been together since my son was 3, it is difficult for him as well to know what the right decision is for himself. To move with me, or stay with the boyfriend. Very very long story, of emotional/ psychological along with emotional withholding abuse of which boyfriend is in denial and doesn't see himself as having done these things over time. I just can't be unhappy any longer. So this is my reasoning, if someone wants to comment or advise on ANY issue, I welcome it. I am not holding back anymore. I have to let it out.

Oh Tammie......
I am so so sorry......
I wish there was something I could say or do, to make this easier for you.
After fifteen years, it must be extremely difficult to make such a decision, and take such a big step, but at times, we just have to do what we have to do, to hang on to our sanity and to save ourselves.
I can well imagine how hard this is on your youngest son. Family break ups are oh so hard on all concerned, but especially on kids (no matter how old they are). This is probably the only father figure which he has known.
If there was some way I could help you with your birds, I would, but I'm afraid distance makes that impossible. I hope you manage to find good homes for all of them.
I wish you all the best, and hope you find the happines that you're looking for.
Hugs and prayers coming you way over the miles.

I'm really sorry with what is going on. I wish I could take some of your birds since I am so close to you, but I don't think we can take in more birds. Wish you Luck.

Thank you all. I hope I find happiness and I hope this is the right decision for all involved. Yes, it is an extremely difficult one. It weakens my knees literally.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about this.
That takes a lot of bravery to step out into the world on your own after 15 years.
I've been with my husband for 15+ years and after that amount of time, you sort of become a part of each other. (Though I'm not sure if abuse would change the dynamics in that regard. I imagine it could. But even so, to make a change after 15 years is frightening.)
I hope you can find a good home for all your feathered babies.
Let your instincts guide you. I've found that little voice in the back of your head is usually right.

I'm very sorry that you are going through this. Your birds are going to miss the environment they are in, They are beautiful. If you are sure that you must sell them, I hope the pairs at least can be kept together. Even better if the flock can stay together. Think it over carefully. Best wishes with whatever you decide.

Not sure if you are still selling these birds but if you are I could take two of those males Gouldians from you. I'm in Somerset NJ.
