Hello everyone my name is Shy Pie (on the right)and I'm searching for my future Mr. Right. I not quite ready to be paired with him but my human would like to find 2 unrelated handsome and peaceful males for me and my daughter. We're hoping for some bachelors that are not just the standard grey. The men are to be housed in a seperate enclosure for about 5-6 months until my daughter and I are ready for them as we are currently taking care of my solo chick. If my chick turns out to be a male it would be lovely to have a strong man around to teach it how to sing. I surprised my human with a large clutch 2 weeks after my abusive male and our sons went to their forever home together. Luckily only one hatched which is good as its just me and my daughter.
I enjoy long naps on my favourite perch, long splashy bathes, and above all a lovely preen. My first male was fairly aggressive and would constantly pluck me mercilessly regardless of having a clutch or not. I spent a bit of time by myself because of it. A more passive male would be preferred. A little bit of aggression at certain times is normal but my ex was relentless.
We are located in Edmonton, Alberta and our going to be takig possetion of a new home in 2-3 months that is not close to the city so we would like to find them before that move to reduce transportation time and the stress of a longer drive. Please feel free to message my human if you have a male or two fitting our needs.
Sincerely Shy Pie

Hello Shy Pie and Daughter .
You should get your human Mom, to look up Jean Tarr (finches), in Edmonton. She breeds a variety of Finches. I don't think she breeds Zebras, but I bet she knows who does. Shoot her an e-mail or give her a call. She's a nice lady.
Mention to your human Mom, that if anyone is breeding English Zebras, that that just might be the way to go. These British gents, are renowned, for being big, tall, handsome, and true gentlemen.

I sent emails to a couple of breeders including the one you mentioned, I've also been visiting a few of the pet shops looking for Mr. Right. I've had to put her by herself as sitting in a corner all day because your daughter won't let you out is ridonkulous. She was literally not allowed to leave her little hiding place amongst the leafs of my vine. So I have been spurred to action.

Unfortunately I rnded up getting her a SG cock as I couldn't stand seeing her so alone. He is currently on quarintine. I emailed several avairies in my area and scoured the pet stores. I even considered online shipping briefly.

Arama keep him in quarentine for as long as possible, 90 days is good.

Haha I just got a response on kijiji from a fellow with a black cheek male available. Would it be terrible of me to return the male I purchased as its still within the allotted time? He is still in quarantine so no introductions have been made yet.

Sorry, can't think of what an SG cock is?
If you are sure the black-cheek from Kijiji is healthy and the SG cock is from a pet store that will take him back, I see no reason not to return him if you no longer want him if it is within the appropriate time frame. What did you decide to do?

Derk I ended up trading the standard Greg for the black cheek. I have another post with pictures up.

Funny what little things mess you up. I guess I have not come across or noticed the expression 'standard' grey before. SG - then becomes obvious.
