Hi,

I have a pair of Strawberry finches I picked up in a trade.
I'm really not interested in keeping them,
and my wife isn't to keen on them either,
because they make a mess in the spare bedroom.
They are a year old and the male is starting to colour out.
I'm ask $250 for the pair, so I can get more canaries.
I'm in Calgary, so I prefer someone from the area, as far as Edmonton.

So I decided to keep them.
I'm hoping to have some luck
like Elana is having?

My three pairs of canaries are starting
to build nests and lay eggs!

So I'm hoping the strawberries will follow suit?

Jerry, you go through a lot of different finches. I remember when you had Cuban finches that wouldn't breed successfully for you. Are you looking for finches at are easy to breed? You need to be patient, which is a requirement with finches!

No I like s good challenge!
That's why I have Pekin Robins, now there is a challenge.
I don't like tiny birds and I should have learned that the first time.
In the 37 years I have kept birds, I have had to be very patient.
I just don't like tiny birds that's don't sing much.

Your Strawberries didn't sing much? That is very unusual, they usually sing all day long. I'll change your title to reflect that they are no longer available.
