Looking to rehome finches in the Atlanta area
It has been a really long time since I have been on the forum due to illness in my family. Sadly I lost my sweet husband in March.
I am looking to shut down my aviary and would like to find good homes for my birds. Saying that...I am not selling them but giving them away to good homes. This important to me that they have a nice place to go. I do not want them in small cages but prefer they go where there is either an aviary or large flight cages that are not overcrowded. They are used to space.
I have gouldians, one owl, one fire finch male, strawberry finches and a pair of shaftails along with one silver bill. I have also got three society finches that are awesome, clean fosters.
If your interested please let me know.
Thanks!

Donna,
So sorry to hear of your loss. You've been an excellent source of information for many of us here and we want to help in any way possible. I would be interested in fostering some of your birds, however I'm not sure of your timeline and the next time I'll be going through your area. I'm sure you will find good homes for them and my family will keep yours in our prayers.

Oh Donna I'm so sorry for your loss. If I was closer and better off at the moment and not in my own storm of personal crap I'd be more than willing to let your birds live with me. Hopefully you are able to find a loving home closer to you where they have a certain future of being loved and well-taken care of.

I'm so sorry about your loss.
I hope you're dealing with it okay....as best as can be expected anyways.
I wish I was closer as I'd happily take the entire lot to live in my bird room.
Alas, I've been sick myself the past few weeks and I'm buried in work, so I just couldn't make the drive.
I hope you find a good home for your beauties.
And I wish you all the best dealing with such an awful loss.

Thank you for all the kind words and PM's. All birds have new homes and are pending pick ups. I sure will miss them but it is what's best for me at this time.

Donna,
I'm so sorry to hear about Roy.
I haven't been on in a long time but also came to rehome the remainder of my birds, but for different reasons.
I hope you are doing okay and find comfort in friends and family.

Donna,
So sorry to hear about your loss. Many prayers and kind thoughts are sent to you and your family. I currently live in Birmingham and would be able to help. I currently volunteer at an aviary at a state park and have a lot of experience with finches.
I will send a PM.
Take care.
Jen

I'm new here and can't send a PM out to you for some reason, Donna. Please respond here if you still need hell with the finches or other birds.
Best Wishes,
