in FL panhandle, looking for Zebra finch not from Petsmart
Hi I'm in Niceville, in the Florida Panhandle. It's near Fort Walton Beach, between Pensacola and Panama City. I'm looking for a zebra finch that hasn't been living for the past two years in 1 ft.² of space in a Petsmart cage. Is there anyone nearby who is breeding zebras? Thanks!

Hello! Welcome to the Forum! I live in Pensacola. I use to have many zebra finches but have moved on to the more exotic finches. I am however looking for the rarer mutations of zebras.
Society Finches, Fire Finches, Strawberry Finches, Owl Finches, Plum Head Finch, Goldbreast Waxbill Finches, Orange Cheek Waxbill Finches, Blue Capped Cordon Finches, Zebra Finches, Bronzewing Mannikin Finches, Red-Cheek Cordon Blue Finches, and Button Quail

Thanks for the welcome. I had two males, and one was sickly at his arrival here last year. He did fine for a long time, then after a humid spring, he suddenly died. His buddy is lonely now - even though he is in the screened room and not far from outdoor birds at the bird feeder - but I really want a better source for a healthy companion bird.

Their is a guy named Allen selling Black Cheek Zebra Finches in Defuniak Springs! I just saw his ad on craigslist. I think that's about a 45 min drive for you.
