Looking for Female Owl Finch - Austin,TX

Hi,
Does anyone have or know someone with owl finches for sale? I have a male & would like him to have a mate. I live in Austin, TX & driving distance would be great.

If you don't mind driving to Cleburne (straight up 35W), there will be a mart there on October 17, and I imagine there will be Owls for sale. There will be a mart/bird show in Temple on Nov. 7. I can PM you some names of breeders in north Texas who do ship. Or if you are interested in driving to DFW, there are several breeders of Owl finches in this area. Colt, a member of this forum, is one of them.

Welcome to the forum! There's lots of good reading at www.finchinfo.com, where you will find many articles on finch care, especially the Owl finch. If you put your general location in your profile, it makes it easier to answer locale-specific questions later on.

Thanks for the fast reply. I plan on attending the Temple Mart but it is 5 months from now. If you get any replies let me know. Maybe something can be worked out before November.

Just saw this. Currently I don't have any female Owls. :/ And there was only one Owl at the Cleburne Bird Mart. They seem to be in very short supply lately.

Just fledged 4 babies and more to come. Should be ready by mart time
10 Owl Finches, 15 Pied Societies, 8 Color Bred Canaries and a blind Gouldian, Veronica

As we discussed, I have three owl pairs for sale and one lonely hen. I will have them at the Cleburne mart, unless we can meet before that time. :wink:
