Finches for sale. Sold Forbes and goldian pairs:
As much as I am sad to announce this, I must downsize my finches due to my health. I have several finch species and will be selling them all by the Bird Mart in Oct 2015, this fall. But,
I want to give FF members a chance to buy them first. Of course, I may not belch for many of you, so that is preferable, but I am willing to ship some, if they don't sell here in the area. I'll post prices before school starts in August, as my schedule will get hectic at that time.
Here is list of what will be for sale to first come first serve. Prices will be the finch breeder market price with a discount to FF members who want to purchase pairs or more than that.
NOTE: I will also be selling my A&E double flights once all the finches have new homes. The double flights are 64" by 22" by 60" . I have three and want to sell them all after the finches have home. Therefore, if anyone wants to pick up finches and double flights all at once, that would be great too.
Here are some pictures of my finches for sale: Double Flights are $150 each or $ 300 for all three double flights.
SGPF, 2 hens $180 each
SGPF pair $375
RT/SG pied pair-Proven pair $380
PEALES PF, 2 pairs $400 each
Owl finches, 3 unrelated pairs (F hen and N/f cock; Fawn cock and Normal hen; Fawn hen and N/f cock-Proven Pair. Owl unrelated pairs $180
Green Singers, 3 cocks that are father and 2 brothers, $50 each. One GS unrelated pair, $100.
.
BH.PC/WC.GB cock & BH.WC.GB hen pair's offspring that hatched in March 2015. The juveniles are almost finished with their first molt, $75 each. They are looking as if they will all be BH.PC.GB, but cocks will be BH.PC/WC.GB.

FYI- I put a sheer curtain clipped to the front of the flight to help the finches feel more secure in our family room.
I will miss my finches so much, but I have to make changes due to my health these days.
Thanks to everyone for your support over the years!!

So sorry to hear this, Deborah. Is there any way you could keep just one pair (or two males or two hens) as pets, no breeding? Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I have been so torn, but I know I should find them homes while they are young and I have time to find good homes. I'd really like to keep one cage, but I am going to be more busy, trying to work and get my kids off to college over the next two years. That, with my unpredictable health these days, it's better for the finches to have good homes while they are young enough to be enjoyed and be breed.

Best of luck to you and yours, Deb. I have no doubt that your stunning birds will find wonderful new homes. If I wasn't getting a new puppy in August, I would purchase some myself. xoxo

Hugs, and more hugs my friend. I wish I could help out in some way. If I was close by, I'd take them on as foster kids, until you were ready to take them on again.

Rich has been working with the more rare Parrot finch species. Your Peales and Forbes really should go to someone who is willing and able to work with breeding them, as these two species need a much larger captive-bred population. I hope that whoever gets them will work with the NFSS Finch/Save group to increase their numbers (and NFSS closed-band them). You could also advertise them in the NFSS Classified FB page.

Unfortunately, his parents feel it's best to stick with the 2 he has for now. He's disappointed, but is going to be extremely busy since he's starting HS this fall
Otherwise I would have flown some in for us both.

finchmix22...he's keeping the 2 he has now. He's just not adding any new ones at this time. Hopefully in the future

finchmix22 I'm so sorry that you are going through this! Prayers go out to you
I wish I could take some! Because I would deffinetly take some like my aunt said. I have my 2 right now, and am happy with them. Next year is HS, and my schedule will be very hectic.. But one day I will have more!!
