The Finch...a Breeders' Companion by Russell Kingston OAM

Post by sierranomad » Sun Nov 15, 2015 5:36 pm

O.K. I feel a little "tacky" because it's been awhile since I've visited this forum.
I have the book listed above, but just don't read it much. It's deeper and more exhaustive than what I need/want.

It costs $129 to 165 new in the U.S. I have it on ebay for $109 with free shipping. If you are interested, I have pictures of it on the listing.

Like I said, I feel a little tacky posting about it, but on the other hand, this is the place where people are that may really want/benefit from it.

OK, let's see if I can figure out how to do that...Here's a try: THE book

OTOH, if a regular poster here on the finch forum was interested I would feel safe to just have him/her send me a check for it. I realize that I haven't been a regular here so you may not trust me :)

So I would be willing to send it and then have the buyer send the check after they've gotten the book. Again, someone who is a regular poster only.

Since we wouldn't be dealing with a "middle-man" I could take $10 off the price...so $99. Or if you'd prefer or aren't a regular here, go to the eBay link.

I see the post on Ebay, would be interested if the book was $99, and would be happy to buy directly off ebay.

Great! I see that you are a regular poster (and on top of that, you work for the NPS...you must be OK :D ).

I've removed the book from eBay. Please send me your USPS mailing address and I will get it in the mail, today if possible.

Just to make sure we understand each other: When you get the book you will send me a check for $99. My address will be on the shipping label.

Thank you,

Jon

THanks. Got your PM and PM'd you back.

I work for the NPS in my dreams. :)

I live a couple hours from Yosemite. Made a hiking DVD on it...and the Grand Canyon.

I know the trails pretty well and help people who are "lost" or in need of some other help just about every time I am there.

I feel like I am home when in YOsemite...it is hard to describe. I would have to be an accomplished poet to express how I feel about our grand wilderness treasures.

I work at the "Other" Y park. If you ever make it here, let me know. Can give you some inside scoop.

Just paid you via PayPal.

Thanks!

Took it down to the P.O. I see the payment via Paypal made it to me. Thank you for that.

I figured. About Yellowstone, that is.

My wife and I were there a couple of years ago and loved it. Saw some wolves from a distance, and many of the "must sees". Wish I could have gotten the inside scoop before we went.

If we make it back I'll be sure to take you up on your gracious offer. :)

Best,

Jon
