Hi there!
Due to some life changes, we are having to part with our beautiful, custom made aviary from affordablecustomcages.com. We've had it set up for less than 6 months, and absolutely love it - we're so sad to see it go. It's furniture quality and looks wonderful as a centerpiece in our living room.
It's quite large - 60"H, 48"W, 22"D and has thick acrylic and heavy wire screen. It's solid wood, stained and sealed a pretty grey color. We have it posted on Craigslist as well (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/for/5430773784.html), but would love to sell it directly to someone who loves finches here on this forum. We're asking $750, but are willing to negotiate. We live in the western suburbs of Chicago - local pickup only. We have a pair of gouldians that we would be willing to include as well.

I am planning on building one myself. It will be for indoors most likely. Call me crazy but my significant other thinks that 120 degree weather is to hot for the birds even if they are in the shaded part of the patio. I was thinking about buying one of those fancy dog kennels with a walk in door as a floor model and outlining it with the smaller wire so the birds cant escape. I was just concerned that if I did build an outdoor aviary the birds will be more susceptible to critters and animals, not to mention disease. I just want my canaries to get some flight exercise and have more freedom. I do have a smaller flight cage but I think that cage is only good for up to 4 maximum 6 birds. right now I have 10 .....

I wanted to update that this aviary is still for sale, if anyone knows of an interested party in the Chicagoland area. We've dropped the asking price to $400.

Wish ya were closer to AZ:) but I'm prolly going to slowly custom build mine as I progress as a breeder.
