Free in Arlington VA - Misc Bird Stuff

As many of you know I've downsized my flock a LOT over the last couple of years. Looking through my basement, I have tons of bird stuff that I don't need any more. If anybody is in the Arlington, VA area and would like to pick some up you are more than welcome. I can post photos if there is anything specific somebody would like to see. I'd much rather give these to folks who would use them then throw them away. I have:

- Travel cages (several of the type you'd buy at a bird show for those impulse purchases)
- Small cages that are great for hospital cages
- Clear plastic water/seed cups
- Misc water tubes, inside and outside cups, treat cups
- Baths
- Outside plastic nests
- Gravity feeders
- Lots of small plastic hamster dishes (perfect for dried egg food, eggshell, etc)
- Lots of shallow plastic saucers (I used when feeding fresh egg food daily, also great for veggies and efficient for seed since finches can reach all of it rather than just the top layer as in a cup)
- Perches - manzanita, swings, concrete perches
- Probably some clamp lights
- Probably plenty of other things - ask and I can look

Do you still have that large cage you mentioned in your last post? If so then is there any way you could ship it to me? I am greatly in need of another cage because the cage I temporarily have my brother zebra finches in is kinda small, like travel cage small. However I can't put them back in the big cage that I do have because they have been fighting with the parents who currently have a clutch of eggs. Is there any way you could get that cage to me?

Nick, unfortunately I doubt that the cost of shipping and materials would make it worth your while. I agree that you need another cage for the brothers (as well as for the upcoming hatchlings when they grow up). If you're planning visit somewhere nearby up here I'm happy to give you several.

Honey, it could be 100's of dollars to ship (cages are heavy), and you would have to pay the whole cost, not just a portion of it.

It would be more expensive to ship, then buying something closer to where you are living.

Hi Hilary,

My wife and I have decided to get a pair of finches in about a month or so (moving into a new home and don't want to get them before we're settled in). Do you still happen to have any items we could take off your hands? Right now we have zero bird supplies, so before I go out and spend a couple hundred bucks, I wanted to check with you first. I'm up by BWI, so not too far away. Thanks!
