Two M+F Indian Silverbills for Re-Homing in the Southern US
Hello! I have two Indian Silverbill Finches in the southern United States that need to go to new, loving homes . They are a male and a female. This is only based on observation, one sings and one lays eggs and I've seen attempted mating but there have been no DNA tests. I've discouraged mating so I have no way of knowing if they're able to fertilize or raise a clutch of eggs but there's definitely a chance. I'm moving to attend school in the fall and won't be able to take care of them any longer so I'm hoping to give them away to someone who can. I live in Northeastern Louisiana but I have a car and travel cage and I'm willing to drive quite a ways to accommodate your schedule and be able to give them to a good home. I haven't looked into shipping, I would have to do research if that's your only option but would ask you to pay the fee. Please reply, message me on the forum, or email me at arvin.catherine(at)gmail(dot)com if you have any questions at all or are interested! Thank you so much!

FinchLover&Breeder I would consider it! However a drive to (just for instance) Tallahassee is about 8 hours. I'd very much prefer to do a one day trip so I'm not paying for a hotel room and 14 hours is too much to drive in one day. How far would you be willing to drive to meet closer to me?

I can't drive. Plus I live in Central Florida. Is that too far? Also can I see some pics of the cuties?

I'm not familiar with the care and personality of this species. Are they similar care/feeding Society and Zebras?

FinchLover&Breeder I don't think it's going to work then, sorry! Central Florida is way too far and I definitely don't want to make it a multi-day trip. I'm so sorry!

FinchLady Very similar! There's not a ton of information about their specific habits and personality online because they're not as popular a breed as societies and zebras but I've found most of the general finch information has applied to them and they don't have any specific quirks that make them that different from the popular breeds. You'd have to experiment to see how these specific birds react to different things, as you would with any pair, but if you're familiar with societies and zebras you would already be starting out on the right foot. Are you interested? Where are you located?
