Re: The Bird Mart, Cleburne, TX May 17
That would definitely be fun! I did take some Goldbreasts to the mart. These were ones that I had bought from others, then I wound up putting all of them in a big flight cage. They all managed to shuck off their split plastic bands, so I was left not knowing which birds came from which breeder. I decided to try to sell them and start over again, and I did sell most of them. I was at my table so little yesterday, as I was running around seeing where I might be needed to volunteer. For the first time ever, I didn't even get a chance to look around at all the other offerings, and I didn't buy one single thing, not a bird nor any supplies. Oh well, there's always August.

Here are a couple photos from our mart. The first one is shortly before the doors opened, while vendors were still setting up. The second one is from my table, later in the day. I didn't get any during the first hours of the mart, when it was busiest.

It did look successful to me, although a 'road trip' for me, but I am glad I went.

BillD It was so good to see you again and get in a little visit! There's never enough time at the mart, as there are always interruptions.

I did purchase some good seed when I was there the last time and hope to find it again when I come back on the 23rd. Have over 30 Fawn Owls now. Go figure.
