well... don't think that will happen this time, but maybe next year. I still plan to be there on the 23rd. Even if it is a 'Road Trip'.

Next mart then. I can help you. This mart, check out various vendors and how they set up/display their birds, so you will have an idea of how it works.

Sam007 I'll try to find out for you. I know Su Yin works with them, but I don't know if she is bringing any to the mart. There is another breeder who works with them, I'll ask him what he is bringing.

Sam007 Su Yin says she may have a lutino hen and/or an aqua hen. Ace Goates will have them as well, and he said there will be lots of Scarlet-chested Parakeets there. Another vendor said Kenny Stephens and Larry Lopez will each have them. So come on up, you should be able to find something!

:D It was great to see you Sally and many others at the Bird Mart. I'm glad you found those transport crates (giving me some ideas).
When is the next Mart?

I was not @ the mart in Texas this weekend, but I was lucky enough that Sally shipped me 2 lovely finches this Sunday...a BCCB hen (From Ahmed) and a Grey Pearl Society hen (from Su) :) . Both girls have settled in nicely and are awaiting meeting their future mates once quarantine is finished.

delray...I am embarrassed to say that I have no pics of your birds while I have been bird sitting. I do have 1 awful pic of my 2 new hens in their shipping crate...but it is crappy :)

BillD I'm so happy you saw those shipping boxes for sale! I had not even had time to check out other vendors. They worked out just perfectly. I used duct tape to tape two of the double boxes together, which gave me 4 separate compartments. One pair in each of three compartments, one empty, and off to the airport the next morning. The doubles that I had at home were double sized, but they were each just one large compartment, which won't work for some of the more aggressive species.

We won't have another mart till May 16, 2015. There will be a mart in combination with a bird show at Temple the first Saturday of November, and Temple usually has an early mart in March or April.
