Baltimore Bird Fanciers bird club in Maryland will be hosting it's annual bird mart on May 17th from 9-4. I'll be there with some of my zebras from last year and maybe Kallies fledglings. More info can be found here...http://www.baltimorebirdfanciers.org/SpringMart.htm

Besides $, I'm guessing I'll have to bring travel cages or do vendors provide shipping boxes or carriers to purchase? Any other tips I need to know or be aware of?

I"m new to the group so I'm not sure but I'd bring travel cages just in case.

Is anyone planning on selling owls or star finches at the mart? We need a hen for our male star and we want another pair of owls for our double flight cage. Also would love to find a couple of other colors of gouldians. We have tons of babies available, lots of yellows and a couple of blues and greens.

I am looking for a breeding pair of owl finches. My daughter and I will be visiting the fair for the first time. If anyone has some owls available I'd appreciate advance info for picking them up. Gail

You guys totally just brought me out of hiding, so this is my first post even though I visit the site every day. This will be my first time going to the bird mart and I am super excited. I currently have 5 male gouldians and would love to acquire 4 more. To those who have attended the bird mart in the past, how did you find the selection of birds?

No idea what may turn up for sale. I'd bring some sort of small transport cage just to be prepared.

Haven't been to this mart, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum, Brittany! There's lots of good reading at the Finch Information Center, linked at left, and the members are always ready to help. I'd take a small transport cage just in case, plus maybe a small tote bag for the goodies you'll want to stock up on. Have fun!

If you ever want to travel and meet possibly in Richmond, we currently have baby gouldians coming out of our ears. We are located in Charlottesville and have 7 yellow babies, 5 silver and blue babies, 2 green babies (1 is dilute BH) and 1 Green split to blue babie. We also have 2 extra blue females that we have decided to not keep after all since we ended up having 3 of the same color. PM me if you want to know more. We have YH, RH, and BH available.
