What a fabulous weekend! While visiting our "baby" who is attending college in Michigan my husband & I went to the Society of Canary & Finch breeders of Michigan bird fair.
@saulosirds & Kristen from Meadowlake Farms Avian Supply - Thank you for such a warm welcome & sharing your wealth of information about Shaft-tails, fire finches & gouldian finches. My husband & I had a wonderful time learning, seeing many different birds, great supplies & vendors. We returned to Nashville with an ample supply of seed from Herman bros [yea - no postage!], an American singer canary as planned and a stunning pair of Irish fancy canaries that we [really I] could not pass up. Photos soon to come but all the birds are now asleep in their temporary quarantine cage.
Next month - October 18th the same group will have a bird show the likes I have never seen. Many birds are already expected to show & some will be for sale. Hopefully my husband & I can make another trip "up north."
