Good morning Dolly!

I am just getting back in to raising finches - new member (again) - and finding it difficult to find finches for sale in my location (Kenosha county, Wisconsin).

I noticed that you posted an upcoming bird fair - to be held in Neenah on Aug. 30 - and was wondering if this was still on for this date. I have been reading about restrictions on bird exhibits in Wisconsin and really don't want to make this trip if this has been cancelled due to state regulations.

BTW.... Love this forum! I have used it in the past to learn from you guys and plan to use it once again for the same reason.

I don't have an organization to contact, so I called the hotel, and they confirmed that it is still scheduled for August 30, Sunday, from 9am to 2pm. Have fun!

I just found out it is the Wisconsin Cage Bird Club that is putting on this fair, and they just posted this ad on craigslist on Aug. 22:

Yes; this is a huge show & very well attended. I have a table & will be selling Gouldians (Green Back, split to blue, Yellow Back, Blue Back & Silver. Also will have 3 wooden nest boxes & lots of feeders & perches. If anyone from here goes there, look me up

I added a bunch more marts and some shows to the Calendar for September. I will add October shows later this week. September and October are the big months for finch shows. Check the Calendar to see if there is anything in your area this month! If there is a show, please think about participating. Or, at least attend the show, as you can learn so much from our experienced judges.

Finches 101

I just saw this class posted on FB. It is in the Ashville, NC area this Saturday, September 12. The flyer does not give the exact location, and I've seen two different times posted for this event--8:30am and 10am. You can get the correct information when you call or email to rsvp.

This is a class that sounds like it would be of interest to newbies in the area.
