Stuart whiting, we'll have to post pictures! Too hot in Florida anyhow. You need to come to a Florida show in March. LOL!!

Re: Orlando, Florida August 14, 2016 Bird Show
cindy interesting, I've just mentioned about this in your other thread
Is it not quite cold where you are in November, I suppose it's ok for very hardy species providing that there's no cold wind,
How would the committee and organisers of the show cater for more delicate birds or is the show mainly for parakeets and parrot like birds

it is actually rather comfortable in Central Florida during that time of the yr, it is the end of hurricane season and the temps can be between 70 to 80 degrees. When I arrive at 8 to set up I allow the cages of grasskeets to sun themselves for a bit, they love it.
The show they also do at the same location can be very warm and humid...Our chiller months are usually more after Christmas, January and February but for the most part we are warmer than most in Winter...

cindy Gosh I wish our Novembers were in the 70-80's,
I suppose it must be quite nice actually having a show outside,
Mind you I think I'd screw me show cage doors shut
Keep us posted how you get on

Re: Orlando, Florida August 14, 2016 Bird Show
cindy OH MY GRAVY!! I am totally obsessed! Although the lighting in the venue could have been better, the vendors brought their own lighting and the birds were spectacular!! I was only there (sadly) to look as I have to reduce the number of canaries before I take on any more birds. What I have concluded:
1. My aviary is not big enough.
2. I need more aviaries.
3. I don't have nearly enough cages.
4. I need less canaries and more gouldians and waxbills!!!
cindy, did you have a vendor table? The vendors were all SO busy. finchman, did you get any new babies? We will all have to meet at the October show!

I decided not to go this time, monitoring my dog with congestive heart issues and new meds to help, finally she is stable for now.

Thank you Debbie and Sally, we are trying to keep her comfortable for now... she is still eating and asking to go out. She is a sweet dog, always by my side.
