Best color for back of aviary?

Post by lstyles » Sun Jun 12, 2011 2:58 am

I am building an outside aviary. The wire is being painted black and the framing is going to be a pine green. The back wall of the aviary is solid wood and I was wondering what is the best color to paint the inside of the back wall to highlight the birds? Seems like it would be white but that might not be the most practical color. Suggestions?
thanks,
Lori

I have a white wall inside my aviary and must admit it does not really show up too much dirt - unlike my natural wood. Most of the poop that shows up is white, so it actually blends in very well...

From an art stand point...you want the birds to stand out. White is your best option. Some colors when put up against or next to another color can actually show a hue that is different from what it really is. I would use white.

White also reflects the heat if the sun shines on it.
