Home made feeders?!

Did any of you guys ever try to make a home made feeder for your birds? and if so, how did you make it and did it work well?
Thanks

Hiya!

I haven't made one for my birds yet but I did it once for my cats :D I cut the bottom section of a 2ltr pop bottle and then cut an arch big enough to make an exit for the cat biscuits to fall out of. I then Duck Taped this to a food bowl (obviously larger than the base of the bottle). With a funnel, I then filled the bottle with cat biscuits, screwed the lid back on, went away for the weekend and it worked perfectly.

For birds could use a small bottle and lightweight plastic feeding bowl (or even one of those plastic covers you put over tins to keep the contents fresh!), make 2 arches (one front, one back) and put a wire or string around the neck of the bottle to hang it from the top of the cage. Hope this helps :)
