No, If it's sent as a gift there is no duty. but it's the eBay sellers that upcharge the shipping that makes purchasing not worth it. But that's where they make 50% of there profit.
I managed a sporting goods distribution/logistics facility for ten years, and I can say first hand that I have overnight ship parcels via fedex from Canada to California for no more than 50 bucks. That's a 45 lb box overnight. Those cages do not weigh 45lbs and thy aren't shipping overnight. So how can a seller charge 89$ for shipping.

These are for sale for $60 for four 30x18x18 breeding cages. They are not divided, and shipping would have to be added. They are on sale because the newer design has a removable grate. This company is a good vendor.
