My new old cage!

Thank you for the great comments everyone! I always wondered if doing this with a cage would work and now I know. It increased my cage size so much and is nice to look at. At the moment the cage is sitting on my electric fireplace. I do plan on building a cabinet for the cage to sit on but because of the weight I want to put some sort of wheels under it. i am still in planning mode for the cabinet. Here is where it is for now:



I wanted to make this nice and comfortable for my feathered family.

A beautiful home for your birds!! that's a great recycling of an old cage, and the result is just stunning! the open dome top really makes it unique and lovely, and the brick background is quite 'homey'. congrats on a great job!
