Yep, a little lever that turns the shower on (has to be hooked up to your water system, though) when they step up and turns it off when they step off then the water goes down a drain into the sewer system... I've got the idea all worked out -- just no idea how you could set it up cheaply to go into each cage.
I guess that's why no one has invented it yet...
