Peek into my aviary
Just a quick video of my aviary to test a camera.

The aviary is 5 1/2 wide by 5 deep and 6 tall.
Here's a photo.
I painted the wire mesh black after I stapled it to the frame. I wish I had painted it first. There are 2 food dishes and 2 water dishes that rotate to the outside for easy access. The trap is 2x2. I used a roll up bamboo window shade for the trap. I hot glued it to the upper 2x3 and then cut the string portion of the shade away. There are now 7 or so nest boxes inside not shown here. This was a simple build with 2x3's, some Thompson's water seal/stain and wire mesh.

its looks great! great home for your finches. I bet they love it...i wish you lived closer i'll pay for you to build me an aviary..

That looks great! I enjoyed the video. How did you use the bamboo shade as the catch. I couldn't tell from the picture.

Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.
