I like it!

Pretty birds, I like the rustic nests too, I usually use the regular wicker ones. And I think it'd look nice with one on the other side.

When I was shopping for a flight cage, I wished they made cage systems in modular units. That way you can expand or keep partitions in to separate.
I tried attaching my bird's outing cage to his main cage, but I couldn't get the doors to match securely so I gave up. Wasn't trying to expand, just wanted my bird to go in the small cage. Now I just put the small cage inside the flight and my bird goes in if he wants outing.

I've measured adding another 18" on the other side and unless I do some major consolidation in the clothes/storage area it just won't fit.

the birds really like to look out of the windows so i don't want to take them to a windowless area. maybe if i move the aquarium....oof, now that's a chore!!!

lol, it reminds me more of a fancy apartment complex - apartments to either side of a spacious courtyard! beautiful cage setup btw!
I think it's a great idea for giving the birds some privacy from each other without separating them. I have two zebra hens that live in a cage with three little rooftops. I actually have a larger cage they could go in, but the 'attic rooms' give each girl a spot to roost with a barrier in between. wish I could post a pic...

the bird calculator is under housing on the main finch info page ttbomk.
I ordered the other 30x18x18 cage today. Damned overpriced though at $40? Anyway, the pop up camper should be a go by this weekend.
The birds also tend to take refuge in there when I'm messing with their perches or cleaning or whatever that they usually fly around so frantically. Now, most of them just hop on into the other cage and preen while I finish whatever it is that I'm doing.

well i've purchased the other 30x18x18 cage and a very large a&e double flight cage that i think is about 62" long. i have rearrainged everything so that I can finally make the complete pop up trailer for the blues along one wall and then place the a&e along the other wall for the zippy green singers and the small orange cheeks. it should be a great room! I will post pics as soon as I can.
Hard to find someone to volunteer to help me put that monster cage together! LOL
