? about spectrum lighting with mouted cages

Post by AngieCort68 » Wed Dec 28, 2011 8:51 pm

I currently have a flight cage 31x20x53 where I house my zebras. I just learned I shouldn't put zebras with gouldians, owls and or society finches. So I was thinking of getting some stacked cages to separate them. Right now I have a spectrum lighting floor lamp above my flight cage. My question is if I get stacked cages with individual floors how will the bottom caged finches get the lighting? I plan to get two more gouldians and two owls but I want all the cages to be able to receive the light. Thanks in advance.

I use the inexpensive under-cabinet fluorescent lights that are available from most large and small hardware store. I replace the bulbs with "Sunshine" bulbs available in the same stores.

If you are using a stand for your stacked cages, there is usually enough room between them to slip the light on top of the cage. If not, they are easily hung from the cage ceilings.
