Anyone Have/Had These Size Cages
Im looking at a few stackable breeding cages.
One is a 38 x 11 x 15
the other is
30 x 18 x 18
In your opinion which do you think is better?
I like the 38 because of the length. But 11 width is pretty narrow is it not? Or is this a good cage?

I personally wouldn't breed in anything smaller than 30 X 18 X 18
Owls, Goulds, European Goldfinch, Red Belly Siskins and Zebs... For now...

I have a stand for three 30x18x18 stacked and the size works good for me..

11" way too narrow. Between these two, I'd go for the 30x18.

Re: Anyone Have/Had These Size Cages
rather spend money on narrow cages, which you will not be happy with, I am sure, you are better of investing in the biggest cage/s you can afford. I have been down this road before, buying small narrow cages which the birds will never thrive in. I threw them out after a very short time.

Re: Anyone Have/Had These Size Cages
Yea I agree that the 11 was way to narrow...I dont even know why a cage was made this way...long yes, but the width... isnt worth it.
I already have the flight I built which is about 4 x 3.
I dont want to save for a larger cage because of lack of space. I was interested in the stacking breeding cages because 1. I have very limited space in my home. 2. I dont want to house all of my finches together. Because some can get aggressive.
30 x 18 x 18 is all I can find so far, for a stacking cage...within Canada. I really dont want to pay for a cage from another country..its becoming difficult.
And your right Kenny, I dont want to end up regreting the purchase and try to find something again. Its tough

Hi Pretty Bird
30X18X18 is an ok size for stacked cages- I was more referring to the 11' which must be for a very skinny bird!!! good luck with your breeding
